The Lakeland Knight
If there is one thing he knows, Lord Arkus of Blackriver Castle knows he is a villain. He does dastardly deeds and enjoys making people suffer. His goal is to be the number one bad guy in the land. "Yes, I am a villain. What? You wanted a noble hero? Well, tough. You've got the wrong book then."

Everything changes for Lord Arkus when he captures a Sparkling instead of a Gormack. A Sparkling is a goody-goody spirit that helps heroes, watches over little children, and messes up villains’ plans. Tulip, whose name is changed to Jarvi by Arkus, has plans to turn Lord Arkus into a hero.

After accidentally performing a good deed, Lord Arkus is named The Lakeland Knight by the people of Ulkaria. He has sworn to defend these people who now consider him the bravest hero in the land. Could this really be what Lord Arkus wanted all along, or does he still want to be a villain?
