In the Country of
Tokyo (Shifting Sands), Kurogane continues his battle with Kamui, the
leader of the people living in the one tower of the Tochô Building,
which seems to be untouched by the acid rain that has been falling for
fifteen years. When the battle ends in a draw, Syaoran realizes that
Kamui is like themselves, a traveler of worlds. They learn that Kamui
has been there for three years and helps protect what is beneath the
two-tower Tochô Building. More precious than anything else is the
reservoir of clean water that Kamui watches over. Kamui and his gang
protect one of the reservoirs, which reside under his tower, and Fûma
and his gang have their own reservoir under the other tower. Fûma wants
both reservoirs and swears that he will take theirs. As Princess Sakura
continues to sleep, Kurogane asks Fai about the magic he used in a
previous world. Fai avoids the subject, but Kurogane sees through the
front. He tells Fai that he had better shape up and decide where he
stand with his friends. In Sakura's dreams, she is underwater and comes
across this large blob-like creature. When she approaches it, it sucks
Sakura inside its mass. Kurogane notices that the sleeping princess
flinches and then is no longer breathing. Meanwhile, Syaoran and
some of the locals are out on the sands fighting giant mutated worms for
food. When they return, Syaoran learns that is Sakura's soul that is
sleep, not her body.

is
a manga book written and drawn by Clamp. This book was translated and
adapted by William Flanagan and Lettered by Dana Hayward. This book

RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE: Volume 15
is an interesting story about a world devastated by an acid rain. The
only building left standing in an entire city is the Tochô Building. The
two gangs that live in the different towers both have a reservoir of
water, but one of the gangs wants both. I found myself a little confused
during the reading of this book. There is someone that looks like
Syaoran with the what looks like the Space-Time Witch. He has a patch
over his left eye and wants his other eye back. We all know that Syaoran
only has a left eye, so who is this guy with Syaoran's other eye? And
what is going on with Princess Sakura? Her soul is asleep? What does
that mean? Tsubasa:
RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE: Volume 15
introduces a lot of mysteries that leaves the reader questioning what is
going on. The artwork is wonderful, of course, and the storyline is
great, if not a little confusing, but I still loved it. I am sure that
some of these questions will be answered in the next book. If not, I
know that the answers will be forthcoming in future volumes. Overall, Tsubasa:
RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE: Volume 15
is a pretty spectacular book and I cannot wait to find out more about
this mysterious eye-patch wearing Syaoran-like dude and what is going on
with Princess Sakura in Tsubasa:
RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE: Volume 16. Bring it on!
