The the
country of Oto, Kurogane and Syaoran are Oni-Hunters known as the Puppy
Pair, Big Puppy and Little Puppy, which Kurogane hates. They learn from
an Informant named Erii that there is a new type of Oto in town. He
looks like a human being and is supposed to be very beautiful.
Meanwhile, Fai and Sukura are running a small restaurant and making new
friends. One day, in the door walks two Oni-Hunters named Sôma and Ryûô.
Ryûô has heard that Syaoran is pretty strong and attacks him. At the
same time, Fai and Kurogane are out patrolling and come across an Oni.
Back in the restaurant, Sôma and Ryûô soon become allies with the Syaoran
when a Oni attacks them in their restaurant. They all band together and
fights as one. It seems that this new type of Oni is also watching the
Oni-Hunters fight and actually knows Syaoran. Later, Syaoran asks Kurogane
to train him in the ways of the sword and they first go to shop called
Chanan's. Kurogane buys a long sword named Sôhi "Blue Ice" and Syaoran
buys a sword called Hein "Scarlet Flame." They begins Syaoran's training
and Kurogane makes him walk back the restaurant with a blindfold on.
After six hours of stumbling around, Syaoran's senses are enhanced, but
he runs into an Oni without knowing what it is. He is saved by Ryûô and
during the battle, Syaoran sees the face of the new type of Oni . . .
and he knows him. It is Seishirô, the man who trained Syaoran how to
fight when he was but a boy.

Tsubasa:
RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE - Volume 6 is
another excellent tale in this already awesome series by Clamp. This
entire books takes place on Oto and centers around the fighting of the
Oni and the new allies the main characters are making. This is also a
pivotal time with Syaoran because he realizes that he just cannot
continue to fight with his feet, he must learn to use a weapon also. So,
he turns to Kurogane to be his trainer. As for the restaurant, I have no
idea why Fai and Sukura are running one. Maybe they just needed
something to do since they don't seem to be looking for a memory feather
very hard. Once again, Clamp spins his magic and he created a wonderful
tale of mystery and mystical powers in this book. The translation and
adaptation is well done and the book is a blast to read. Overall,
Tsubasa:
RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE - Volume 6 is
a wonderful read in which you get to learn more about Syaoran and his
disability. Since they are still on Oto, I wonder what will happen next
with Seishirô in Tsubasa:
RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE - Volume 7. I cannot wait to find out!

this book a 9½ out of 10. |
