The Prophet rules over the people by using his Keltars to terrorize the towns. Locals are taken away into a life of slavery to mine for the precious Lodestone metal.

Five adventurers band together to put an end to the Prophet's reign of terror. They are: Shann - a young woman who is becoming quite a fighter, Lyall - a rebel who has some training as a Keltar, Alondo - Lyall's best friends who is a musician and an inventor, Keris - a Keltar who has abandoned her faith and become a rebel, and Boxx - a hard-shelled, black creature who knows the truth about the Prophet.
