Synopsis

Mixtionary is a collection of approximately 100 new words that could be used in our world that is ever-changing. These new words come from combining two or more words that we already know and forming a new word. For example: Matrimommy (mommy & matrimony) - "Playing second fiddle to your mother-on-law. Knowing that whatever decision you make as a couple will invariably take her options into account. He'd really be better off married to his mother."

Each new definition is accompanied by an illustration by artist Shawn McManus. The new definitions can be both hilarious and very poignant. With the world changing as fast as it does, these modern-day words might just be the things you need to help express yourself.

Mixtionary is a book of modern-day definitions written by Mia Christou, Scott Lobdell, & John Lee and illustrated by Sawn McManus.

Review

Mixtionary is a cute little book that you can carry around with you and whip it out when the situation calls for it. It has a lot of neat and fun new definitions in it that will make you laugh out loud. The illustrations are perfect and well-drawn. I love the big heads on all of the characters.

Mixtionary is a perfect coffee table book as it is small and easy to read. I quite enjoyed many of the definitions and find myself constantly cracking open the book to read just one more new word. The authors obviously put a lot of thought into these new words and I plan on using some of them in the near future.

Overall, Mixtionary is a cute little book that women will really love and is small enough that they can carry around in their purse.
