The
Legacy of the Drow Boxed Set by R.A. Salvatore consists of four books written in the world of
Forgotten Realms. It is a fantasy tale that revolves around the
adventures of Drizzt Do'Urden as he tries to keep his past from
interfering with the present. When the evil drow try to capture Drizzt,
he must defend himself along with the help of his good friends,
Catti-brie, Bruenor, Wulfgar, Regis, and Guenhwyvar.
The tale starts in the 332
page The Legacy. When the dwarves of Mithril
Hall open up some long unused tunnels, they are soon attacked by the
evil drow of Menzoberranzan who only have one thing on their mind: get
the traitor Drizzt Do'Urden and bring him back to the Matron Baerne.
The story continues in the
320 page
Starless Night.
After the death of his good friend Wulfgar, Drizzt decides that he must
take matters into his own hands. He finally returns to the underground
evil city where he was born, Menzoberranzan, for the first time since he
left many decades ago.
The story carries on in the
337 page Siege of Darkness. When the
magic in Menzoberranzan disappears, the Time of Troubles begins. All of
the Houses are thrown into a panic with the realization that they are
all defenseless against one another. When the magic finally returns,
Matron Baerne leads her army upward through the tunnels to kill all the
dwarves of Mithril Hall and to capture Drizzt once and for all.
The story arc concludes in
the 339 page Passage to Dawn. After
killing pirates for six years with his good friend Catti-brie, Drizzt
learns that his father's spirit is being held and tortured by his
greatest enemy. Gathering his old friends around him, he marches forward
to free the one man who meant so much to him.
Legacy of the Drow is a great
four part series in the continuing tales of Drizzt Do'Urden.
