Pern is a fictional planet in the universe created by science fiction writer Anne McCaffrey for her Dragonriders of Pern series of novels.McCaffrey places the planet Pern in orbit around the star Rukbat. Dragonrider fight the fall of thread every 200 years. Dragonsn choose their riders.
