Water-Talent Fairies

Finally, the water-talent fairies' note came to them on a water lily leaf floating down Havendish Stream. Rani dove into the current, grabbed the leaf, and swam back to the bank. She read aloud:

"I suppose we have time to put together a few little tricks," said Rani. "How is the big fountain coming along?"

"Not bad," replied Silvermist, a water-talent-fairy. "I'll finish up, and you can think of some water tricks for our mysterious friend. After all," she added, "your water tricks are the best. I love the snail one."

"I'll do a snail just for you," Rani replied with a smile.

Synopsis

In Pixie Hollow, the secret heart of Never Land, a mysterious messages has been found attached to the door of their beloved Home Tree. The note invites both fairies and sparrow men to a party a sunset. It says that each talent group will get another note informing them what they should bring to the party. The note is not signed.

The baking-talent fairies receive a note that they should bring a tasty baked treat. The garden-talent fairies receive a note saying that they should bring a big bouquet of flowers. The light-talent fairies recieve a note informing them that they should bring a one-of-a-kind light show. The water-talent fairies are told to bring some water tricks and party things.

When they finally all start to gather at sunset, they still do not know who all of the mysterious messages have come from. Who could have sent all of these messages?

Mysterious Messages is a popup book in the Disney Fairies series and is written by Tennant Redbank and illustrated by The Disney Storybook Artist. This popup book is intended for young readers aged 6 to 10.

Review

Mysterious Messages is the first Disney Fairies Popup book that I have seen. Although the book is only 11-pages long, it has a few neat things in it. The first is the mysterious message pinned to the Home Tree. It can come out of the envelope so a young reader can hold it in their hand and read it. There are some nice shiny items in some of the pictures and two popups.

Of course, the Disney Storyboard Artist artwork is beautiful, like it normally is. The story is also a lot of fun because it shows many of the different types of fairies.

Overall, I quite enjoyed this short, little, popup book and look forward to learning more about Disney Fairies and Sparrow Men in further stories.
