They have found Kakeru Hase, who has a special power of his own.

While Kakeru is tries to convince Takemaru that Greenhouse has used him, the rest of the Psycho Busters are outside the warehouse battling the Farmers. When the warehouse explodes, they finish off the rest of the Farmers and rush in to find Kakeru by himself in a  psychic barrier. When the roof collapsed, he was able to protect both himself and Takemaru. Although Takemaru is gone, Kakeru thinks he may have convinced him that he wants to be his friend. When school starts, Kaito, Jôi, Xiao Long, and Ayano all transfer into Kakeru's class (Ninth Grade Middle School). There are also eight more transfer students to the school, and Jôi thinks that some of them may be enemy psychics. Xiao Long is having doubts about using his powers. His parents died because of them, and now he doesn't want to see anyone else hurt. He leaves the group behind and seeks council in Hiyama, and she asks him if he could, would he give up his powers?

The police appear at the school and take Kakeru is taken into custody for questioning. Students have been disappearing from the school and he is a suspect. But when the astral projection of Ayano appears, Kakeru is set free. Jôi has a vision and finds out that Xiao Long is being held at Greenhouse. As Jôi, Kaito, Ayano and Kakeru approach Greenhouse, Jôi realizes that Xiao Long isn't there and Ikushima has laid a trap for them. Meanwhile, Hiyama, who works for Crimers (CRIsis Management ERaserS) has taken Xiao Long to her boss for study. Review

Psycho Busters: Volume 3 picks up right where the second book leaves off. We get to learn a lot more about Hiyama, and I am not sure what to think about her now. Is she bad or good? Personally, I think that she is good and has just been let astray by Crimers. She believed in her company until they told her that they were going to kill her friend. We really don't get to learn any more about Kakeru's powers in this volume. That is a shame as I would like to know more. But we do get to learn a lot about Xiao Long. He tells us about when his powers started and how it has affected him and his family. We also learn that he is struggling with whether or not he should use his powers. This entire story is an wonderful tale of our heroes in school and trying to blend in knowing that there are people out there that want to hurt them.

The Translation and Adaption is terrific and the artwork by Akinari Nao is pretty spiffy. I especially liked the giant cyclops. I really enjoyed this book and find the series to be extremely entertaining.

Overall, Psycho Busters: Volume 3 is another excellent action book that I highly recommend. I'm not quite sure how they are going to get out of trouble now that there are three giant one-eyed monsters in Psycho Busters: Volume 4, but I'll bet it will be exciting.

I rated this book a 9 out of 10.
