Negi Springfield is an
English teacher at the all girls Mahora School District Middle School in
Japan even though he is only 10 years old.
The 78th Annual Mahora
Festival has started. Negi's class has created a haunted house with
three different sections: School Curses, Japanese Ghost Story, and
Gothic Horror. When Negi arrives, he enters the School Curse section
with his guide, Akira. Upon seeing all the scary things in the haunted
house, Negi is taken to Nurse's office so he can rest.
Upon awakening, Negi realizes that both he and Setsuna must have fallen asleep and he
has missed the entire first day of the festival. When Setsuna checks the
watch that Chao gave her, both Negi and Setsuna are transported back in
time to the beginning of the day of the festival. When they find Chao,
she admits that the watch is a time machine and that she isn't human. In
fact, she is a Martian and she is somehow related to Negi by blood.
When Negi and Setsuna return to the first day of festival, it is almost time
for Negi's date with Nodoka. Some of the girls convince Nodoka that she
should French kiss Negi. Never having thought of that, Nodoka is at
first appalled, but then starts to think about the kiss more and more.
When Nodoka wishes aloud for Negi to kiss her after he saves her, the
magical power of the World Tree takes over and Negi cannot be stopped
until he kisses her. Realizing that she has made a mistake, Nodoka tries
to take her wish back, but it is too late.
Asuna and Setsuna arrive and
try to defend Nodoka from Negi, but his fighting skills have increased
dramatically and he is hard to beat. When Asuna gets in his way, Negi
ends up deeply kissing her, which breaks the spell. The next day, Negi
and Kotaro get ready to enter what they think is a minor martial-arts
tournament. But when it is announced that the winner will receive 10
million yen, Negi realizes he may have bitten off more than he can chew
as master fighters are coming out of the woodwork to battle. This is
true until Negi hears about what his father did 20 years ago in this
tournament when he was also ten-years old.
