Dragon
Eye: Volume 2 ended with Squad Zero separated in the tunnels
battling Dracules. The
battles continue Dragon Eye: Volume 3 as Issa and Sôsei find
themselves in a large cavern with hundreds of Dracules. Meanwhile, Hibiki,
Leila, Kajiyami, Sazanami, and Nanbu find themselves in a similar
situation.
While trying to find Issa and Sôsei, they stumble across a
large contingency of Dracules. Using light-up chopsticks, they are able
to kill a few of these infected beasts. Kajiyami is then able to light
up the cavern with a device that will give them light for six minutes.
Hibiki takes over and the battle begins. He proves to the rest of Squad
Zero why he was chosen to be the new sub-commander of Squad Zero and
begins killing Dracules left and right.
Back with Issa and Sôsei, they
overhear the Dracules talking about going out and destroying a village.
Knowing that they must save the village, Issa steps forward and claims
that he is Leda, a well-known Dracule. At first, some of the other
Dracules doubt him, and his kills them with his bare hands. Taking
advantage of their confusion, both Issa and Sôsei attack the Dracules in
a massive melee. Will any of Squad Zero be able to stand against such
overwhelming numbers? Or will Squad Zero become just that . . . a big,
fat zero.
